Patient Appointment Management System (PAMS)
UMIH has implemented a new service feature called Patient Appointment Management System (PAMS), which is part of the UMIH Patient Virtual Waiting Room initiative we developed to automatically communicate with our existing RIS/PACS/EMR system. These new technological features are designed to enhance patient engagement regarding their personal appointments through the use of HIPAA compliant EMAIL and/or TEXT MESSAGES. This patient service is primarily used to communicate upcoming scheduled appointments, exam status, confirm the appointment time as well as the UMIH location address, and provides the ability to confirm appointments or request appointment changes.
