A MRI exam can be used to diagnose numerous medical conditions and/or rule out a diagnosis.

A gown will be provided to all patients who need to complete this exam. The duration of the exam varies by the type of MRI that will performed, generally, 20 to 45 minutes is required. During the exam, it is crucial that the patient not make any movements as it can result in blurry images. The ordering physician is to determine if contrast will be administered during the exam.
