United Medical Imaging is an ACR accreditated organization that has a comprehensive Breast Care Program consisting of screening and diagnositc mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI (ultrasound guided biopsies will soon be available).

MRI of the breast offers the latest advancements in the fight against breast cancer. MRI of the breast is now approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use as a supplemental tool, in addition to conventional mammography, to help diagnose breast cancer.

Breast MRI is often used to investigate breast concerns first detected with mammography or other imaging exams. Breast MRI is also an excellent tool in imaging augmented breasts; including both the breast tissue surrounding the implant (abnormalities or signs of breast cancer can sometimes be obscured by the implant on a mammogram).

Breast MRI is an excellent technology, it is also used for breast cancer staging, determining the most appropriate treatment, and for patient follow-up after breast cancer treatment.
